2: INSTRUCTIONS
The Human HUD contains 4 main components: The HUD, the Bite Marks, the Claw Wound, and the Stat Viewer. Each item is explained in detail below.
-
The HUD
The HUD contains the following functions:- Stats(first round button beneath HUD):
-
Settings
- Detector: turns floating-text detector over HUD on or off.
- Stat Reload: reloads stats on stat viewer to make sure they are current.
- Offer Mode: set offer mode to 'Bloodlines Mode' or 'Free Mode'. In Bloodlines mode, your Bloodlines stats will be affected, so when you are bitten or clawed by a vampire or a lycan, your humanity will be reduced, and the blood or lumens of the vampire or lycan will go up. In free mode, the animations will play, but stats will not be affected.
- Scan Mode: sets the format of stats returned by the Stats button. In Text mode, your HUD will get the text stats of the avatar you select, and chat them to you. In web mode, it will get you a link to their profile on slbloodlines.com and allow you to view their stats in your web browser.
- Animation: sets animation options.
- Anim Height: For the defafult animation, there are 3 height options, and you can set your height to shorter than most other avatars, taller than most other avatars, or about the same.
- Anim On/Off: Toggles whether animations play when you offer blood or lumens.
- Anim Type: Set your own custom animation. To set a custom animation, you will have to place the animations into your Bite Marks or Claw Wounds, and the animations must be named animationname_attacker and animationname_victim, where 'animationname' is what you want to call the animation. Once you've done this, you can select the animation you want by going to settings > animation > Anim Type.
- Group: group functions
- Ban Minion: removes a minion from your minion list, and prevents them from setting you as their liege again.
- Unban Minion: removes a minion from your ban list.
- View Bans: gives you a list of minions who you have banned.
- Set Liege: allows you to choose your liege by typing in a name, by choosing a person nearby, or allows you to clear your current liege.
- Set Group: allows you to set your Guild name, if you are a clan leader. Once you set this name, any minions who join you will also have this as their group name.
- Free Minion: removes a minion from your minion list, but does not ban them.
- Gender: set gender to male or female.
- Charisma: You can send 1 charisma point per day to any other avatar.
- Bite Marks / Wound Appearance: Sets Bite Marks and Wound to Fresh / Trickling / Scabbing / Scarred.
- Show Tattoo: if your group has a group tattoo set, this shows your clan insignia on your bite marks and on your claw wound, if not, it shows the group insignia for the default Curse Horde.
- Enthrall: makes your avatar follow another avatar, so you can roleplay that you have been glamoured by them and must obey them.
- Offer lumens: allows you to select someone to offer a lycan attack to.
- Offer blood: allows you to select someone to offer a vampire bite to.

The Bite Marks
The bite marks that come with the Human HUD are different than the free, copy/transfer version of the bite marks distributed by the Thirst HUD. These Bite marks allow you to offer bites to vampires, and contain the bite animations. The Bite Marks that come with the Human HUD are mod/copy/no transfer. The Bite Marks have 4 states: Fresh, Trickling, Scabbing, and Scarred. You must be wearing your bite marks in order to offer a bite to a vampire. -
The Claw Wound
The claw wound works just like the bite marks, except it contains the lycan claw animations, and allows you to offer humanity to lycans. You must be wearing the claw wound in order to offer a claw attack to a lycan. -
The Stat Viewer
Stat Viewer is an attachment that shows others your Bloodlines stats with text floating over your head. It displays the following information: Generation, Clan Name, Status, Amount of Humanity remaining (if greater than 0), Amount of Vital Blood Remaining, and number of collected souls.
3. Frequently Asked Questions
- What happens if someone who has the Human HUD loses all of their humanity?
It depends. If they only have the Human HUD, but do not own the Thirst or the Rage HUDs, then nothing will happen. They just won't be able to offer any more humanity until they gain more. If a human owns the Thirst or the Rage HUDs, then they will become Cursed and turn into a Revenant. If they wish to turn back into a human, they will have to become embraced or enraged, then drink either the nightshade or the wolfsbane potion. - Can humans own souls?
If a human only owns the human HUD, then they cannot own souls, because they cannot bite or use the soul reaper. If a human owns the Thirst or the Rage HUD in addition to the Human HUD, then they can gain souls by biting, clawing, or using the soul reaper. - I'm a vampire / lycan. If I get the Human HUD, will it turn me into a human?
No. Wearing the Human HUD doesn't necessarily make you a human, just like having the Thirst or the Rage HUDs doesn't necessarily make you a vampire or a lycan. The HUD just gives additional abilities that are catered to humans, but that anyone can use. Vampires and Lycans may want to use the Human HUD to offer bites or claw attacks to other vampires or lycans. Also, if you ever want to become human again, it will allow you to drink from cider containers. - I'm already roleplaying a human using the Thirst or the Rage HUD. Do I have to buy the Human HUD to continue?
No, you can continue playing as you always have. However, the Human HUD will give you the ability to offer your humanity to vampires or lycans and take an active role in the exchange. It will also give you a special profile on http://human.slbloodlines.com that shows your human-specific stats, and it will give you the ability to drink from cider containers. In addition, you'll have your Thirst or Rage HUD in case you ever do get to the point where it's time for you to be turned. - If someone only has a Human HUD, can their soul be taken?
Yes. - Can Humans lead groups and have minions?
Yes. Groups led by humans are called Guilds. You could have an entirely human Guild, or you could have humans integrated in a vampire clan, lycan pack, or mixed horde. - Which potions can humans drink?
Once someone has worn the Human HUD, and while they remain human, the only potions that they can drink are Electrum to move their soul, and Hemlock if their soul gets lost to the abyss and they want to rescue it.
